Surprise lake road accessible routes.
CROCUS TRAIL
Style :Loop
Length 11km
Difficulty: Easy
The crocus trail loop is easy and fun.
Park your vehicle at the pine creek falls (pullout at the point where the road turns from Ashphalt to gravel), or at the new cemetary, both are trailheads for the crocus trail, that's also a fun hike with nice views over pine creek falls.

CRACKER CREEK
Style: Return trip
Length: 13km one way
Difficulty: Moderate
On Surprise lake road, keep going all the way to Ruby Mtn. Here there is a right hand fork in the road. Park here and start from here.
This is a great ride, relatively easy, can be done in 3-4 hours and there is a great camp site at the end on Surprise lake, across from 4 crown mountain. It's relatively flat, Just a downhill stretch at the end to get down to Surprise lake, that you will have to climb back up on your return trip.
